We’re going to start our service this morning, with the song ‘Build my Life’

Song: Build My Life ~ Pat Barrett

Dear Lord,

Thank you for your gracious gift of love. Thank you for being trustworthy. Thank you for placing us on a firm foundation. Lord, there’s a lot going on in the world, and indeed in our own lives. We bring before you ………………………………… Thank you for hearing our prayers and petitions. Thank you for being with us through everything. Amen.

Song: I Will Worship ~

Bible Reading:

Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. (Psalm 143: 7-12 NIV)

Song: Once Again ~ Matt Redman

Thank you so much, Nick. That was very thought provoking.

We’re now going to sing/listen to two songs related specifically to the ‘first and greatest commandment’ that Nick has just spoken about.

Song: God is Love ~ Nick and Becky Drake

Song: More Love, More Power ~ Michael W. Smith

Let’s now say the Lord’s Prayer together,

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

Final Song: God, You’re So Good ~ Passion

As you go about your day, and the week ahead, may you feel – perhaps even more than ever before – the Love of Abba (Father God) – Jesus-Spirit.  Amen.
